The tragedy today in Uvalde, Texas, impacts us all and reminds us how important it is to be there for the children in our schools. Sheriff Jesse James Casaus and the Sandoval County Sheriff's Office want to express our deepest condolences to the families, friends and staff affected by this tragic event. Our thoughts and prayers also go out to all of the emergency responders that were involved in this incident.
In light of this tragedy, the Sandoval County Sheriff's Office will increase our presence within the schools of Sandoval County. In addition to our school resource officers, we will have additional deputies ensuring the safety of our schools and continue to strive in keeping all of our children safe.
