Residents are urged to remain vigilant against phishing scams. Officials advise checking that emails are sent from a verified City of Rio Rancho email address, which ends with "@rrnm.gov." Fraudulent emails often contain incorrect names and references for job titles or city departments. If an email, invoice, or other information seems suspicious, contact the City of Rio Rancho by phone at 505-891-5000 or through a new email directed to an "@rrnm.gov" address. The advisory aims to safeguard individuals and their financial resources.
