County proclaims December as Jicarilla Apache Nation Inauguration celebration

Jicarilla Apache President Adrian Notsinneh spoke to the County Commission following the acceptance of a proclamation declaring December 2024 as a celebration of the Jicarilla Apache Nation Inauguration and its leadership. The proclamation was sponsored by Commissioner Joshua A. Jones, representing District 5.

The inauguration ceremony for the President and a new tribal councilor took place on December 6, 2024, at the tribal headquarters in Dulce, New Mexico. The Jicarilla Apache Nation Indian Reservation covers more than 879,917 acres in north-central New Mexico.
