Albuquerque – On Oct. 1, PNM and AVANGRID will host an Electric Vehicle Car Show on the Santa Fe Plaza.
The event begins at 10 am and is open to the public.
PNM is encouraging residents to show case their EVs, and there will be many electric vehicles (EVs) showcased from PNM, the City of Santa Fe, and other organizations. To sign up and learn more, visit //PNM.com/evcarshow.
On top of seeing some great EVs, those who attend will hear from organizations such as PNM, the City of Santa Fe, and NM Department of Transportation about plans to incentive and accelerate the installation of EV chargers and electrify their fleets. There will also be organizations such as car dealerships and e-bike representatives that can provide more information and answer questions residents may have in regard to EVs.
“This is going to be a special event,” said Alaric Babej, manager of customer energy solutions for PNM. “PNM takes a lot of pride in moving forward when it comes to EVs. We are excited to show folks some new additions that we’ve made in our fleet while also giving other organizations an opportunity to do the same. This is a great chance for New Mexicans to learn about EVs while also seeing some cool cars at the same time.”
There will be live music to electrify visitors, and PNM also says that there will be solar cars available for kids to build, decorate, race, and take home. These will be first come first serve once the event begins.
