Rain Chances Continue, We’re Half Way Through Monsoon

Today, like the weekend, will be calm.

But Mondays can be tough, since it is the start of the work week.

If it is a particularly dreadful Monday, there is something you can do to make it better: listen to music. Studies show that music can motivate you to have a better day. One of my favorites is Tina Turner’s version of “Proud Mary”(after she left Ike).

“An active evening for thunderstorms will steadily taper off through the midnight hour tonight. Daily rounds of storms will continue into the coming week, although a relative downtrend in overall chances is expected,” Albuquerque National Weather Service Meteorologist Scott Overpeck said.

Monsoon season has about two months left. Maybe rain will be more common in the coming weeks.

Here is today’s look ahead:

There will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 3 pm and midnight. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 91 and  a low around 69. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
