Healthrecap

Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Dec. 17.

Recognizing the value of healthcare workers, especially during these very difficult times in New Mexico and Colorado, Twisters Burgers & Burritos is offering its new popular Renegade Burger to New Mexico hospital employees at half of its typical selling price.

“Healthcare workers have carried the weight of New Mexico on their shoulders providing critical care to residents during a very difficult time,” says Bahjat Shariff the Chief Operating Officer of Twisters Burgers & Burritos. “Our Renegade Burger has been received very well in our restaurants and we hope that New Mexico healthcare workers will take a moment to enjoy this meal, filled with hatch green chile goodness, to show our appreciation for their work.”

Twisters Burgers & Burrito’s Renegade Burger was created with two quarter pound angus beef patties, tomato, pickle, cheese and Hatch green chile served on an artisan bun. It typically sells for $7.99 but for healthcare workers who present their medical identification card at any of Twister’s 18 New Mexico location’s between 6pm and 8pm on Thursday, December 17, can purchase the burger for $3.99. The Thank You Thursday promotion includes one item per person, per day and cannot exceed the price of the renegade combo $10.49.

Twisters Burgers & Burritos has a proven track record of thanking front line medical workers and first responders through their Feed the Front Lines and Coffee for Heroes initiatives.  Since April, Twisters Burgers & Burritos staff have delivered more than 2,000 of their popular burritos and served hundreds of gallons of coffee for nurses, emergency medical technicians, 911 operators, fire and rescue personnel as well as police officers and sheriff’s deputies.
