Treasurer Montoya has a statutory obligation to mail tax bills yearly by November 1st. This year, the Sandoval County property tax bill was mailed out on October 26, 2020. “We made a cognizant effort to mail the tax bill early in order for those families struggling through this pandemic or have less income coming in, to have more time to review the tax bill before the first of the month and make a payment between two months instead of one,” stated Treasurer Montoya.

The Sandoval County Administration Offices is open to the public. Anyone seeking to enter the building must adhere to a temperature screening and it is mandatory that everyone wear a face mask.

The Treasurer’s Office will have extended office hours beginning Monday, November 99the from 7:30 am to 5:15 pm, Monday through Friday, until Friday, December 11, 2020. “I am keeping the extended office this year in order to stagger taxpayers who need to meet with us in person. This will assist our essential workers who are working long hours during this pandemic,” stated Treasurer Montoya.

Due to COVID-19, Treasurer Montoya is encouraging taxpayers to take advantage of other payment options.
