CITY OF RIO RANCHO: City Seeks Public Input on Storm Water Management Plan

City of Rio Rancho issued the following announcement on Oct. 22. 

In an effort to limit pollution in our nation's streams, rivers and lakes, congress directed the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to enact Section 402 of the Clean Water Act. Section 402 established the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) to regulate storm water discharges from three potential sources:

  • Construction Activities
  • Industrial Activities
  • Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System
The City of Rio Rancho publishes an annual Storm Water Management Plan that outlines the City's efforts in managing storm water discharges. The City is seeking public comment on this annual plan until November 30, 2020. The plan can be viewed by clicking here.
