Sandoval County issued the following announcement on May 18.
Nearly 1,000 Sandoval County residents utilized the free dump half-day on May 16, which added up to nearly 600 tons of waste being disposed of properly.
The full total for the day was 1,248 vehicles, which surpasses the last free dup day on March 14 with a count of 291 county residents that dumped a little over 170 tons of material.
