A water main break at Chihuahua and Northern Blvd. has crumpled part of Northern and stopped traffic.
Water is flowing down the road toward NM HWY 528.
It has also affected water pressure in the area.
Both the Rio Rancho Police and city workers are there.
Estimated repair time, said Peter Wells, Rio Rancho spokesman, is eight hours.
He is checking now to see how many customers will be impacted.
