Sheriff Jesse James Casaus and the Sandoval County Sheriff's Office would like to congratulate Deputy Tommy Romero, our newest deputy to the department as he graduated from the CNM Police Academy last Thursday. Deputy CJ Smith had the honors of pinning his badge on him during the ceremony. Deputy Romero will be partnered with a Field Training Officer for the remainder of his training, which will be another six to eight weeks. Deputy Romero was one of our security staff assigned to the Sandoval County Courts and County complex. We are happy that he has chosen to come over to the Patrol Division as a deputy and look forward to his success within the department.
