The Sandoval County Sheriff's Office has teamed up with Rancho Public Schools to collect donations to benefit community members impacted by the wildfires. Our Wildfire Donation Drive will start on Monday, May 9. Anyone wishing to make a donation can drop items off to any of the following locations Monday through Friday during the hours listed:
• Sandoval County Sheriff's Office (1500 Idalia Road, 8a-5p)
• Cielo Azul Elementary (3804 Shiloh Rd NE, 9a-4p M/T/Th/F & 9a-12:30p Weds)
• Enchanted Hills Elementary (5400 Obregon Rd NE, 9a-4p M/T/Th/F & 9a-12:30p Weds)
• Puesta del Sol Elementary (450 Southern Blvd SE, 7:30a-1:55p)
• Rio Rancho Elementary (4601 Pepe Ortiz Rd SE, 9a-4p M/T/Th/F & 9a-12:30p Weds)
• Sandia Vista Elementary (6800 Franklin Rd NE, 9a-4p M/T/Th/F & 9a-12:30p Weds)
• Vista Grande Elementary (7001 Chayote Rd NE, 9a-4p M/T/Th/F & 9a-12:30p Weds)
• Mountain View Middle School (4010 Montreal Lp NE, 8:10a-3:15p M/T/Th/F & 8:10a-2:35p Weds)
• Independence High School (421 Quantum Rd NE, 7:30a-2p M/T/Th/F & 7:30a-1:15p Weds)
• Rio Rancho Cyber Academy (1330 Jackie Rd SE, 7:45a-2p M/T/Th/F & 7:45a-1:15p Weds)
• RRPS District Office (500 Laser Road, 8a-5p)
Items being collected to directly benefit those displaced by the wildfires in New Mexico and first responders assisting with firefighting and emergency management include:
• Bottle Water & Sports Drinks
• Non-perishable Canned Goods
• Dog Food/Cat Food
• Pet Crates (new or gently used)
• Flushable Wipes & Baby Wipes
• Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant & feminine hygiene products)
• Towels
All donated items should be in new, unopened condition, with the exception of the pet crates.
