It’s a boy!!! On April 21, 2022, 911 Operator Amanda Cooper received a call from a male advising his wife went into labor, and the baby was quickly delivered. Amanda provided the father with calm, clear directions on how to care for the mother and baby, to include clearing his airways, and tying the umbilical cord. Rio Rancho Fire & Rescue arrived on scene and transported the mother and baby to the hospital for care. Great job Amanda! We are proud of you, and all our 911 Operators, for your hard work and dedication to keeping our citizens safe!
