City of Rio Rancho offices and facilities will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in observance of Juneteenth. Emergency and public safety services will operate without interruption. All City outdoor pools will maintain regular operating hours.
The City of Rio Rancho will host its Juneteenth Freedom Day celebration on Saturday, June 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Haynes Park. This event is free and open to the public, featuring food trucks, various activities, health screenings, and music. Additionally, vendor booths and community services booths will be available for attendees to purchase goods and receive information about healthcare and other community/social services.
As we approach the opening of Raising Cane's at 2006 Southern Blvd, heavy traffic is expected beginning Thursday, June 6 near and around the corner of Unser Blvd and Southern Blvd. For those visiting Raising Cane's, entrances to the restaurant will be at Southern Blvd and 21st Ave. Please mind the traffic signs and personnel in place to help direct traffic.
