State Senator Jay Block, a Republican representing New Mexico’s 12th Senate district since 2025, has recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing both local and national political issues.

On August 24, 2025, Block criticized an individual referred to as “KY Keller,” stating: “This is why you are called KY Keller, you slide into stupidity. You have harmed our people with your radical actions. You know it but you have to follow along with the crazies that put criminals and other dangerous people ahead of everyday ordinary citizens. #KYKeller #ABQ https://t.co/6p2t0J1mrk”

The following day, August 25, 2025, Block commented on the president’s agenda in two separate posts. In one statement he wrote: “I support the president’s agenda. He’s been right on so many issues, but I do not support this. I love our flag, I love our country, and I love our constitution. I believe this infringes on our First Amendment freedom of speech. https://t.co/JEpu6Fcnab” In another post shortly after, Block expressed approval for a different presidential action: “This is exactly what we need. Thank you, Mr. President! This will help make America safe again. https://t.co/lslYFNzx9N”

Block was elected to the New Mexico State Senate in 2025 to represent the state’s 12th Senate district after replacing Jerry Ortiz y Pino.
