State Senator Jay Block, a Republican representing New Mexico’s 12th Senate district, posted a series of comments on his Twitter account between April 12 and April 13, 2026. The tweets included both personal reactions and requests for information.
On April 12, Block wrote: “Welcome home sir!!!”.
Later that day, he posted a critical message regarding an unnamed individual: “This guy is full of crap. Peace, love, and harmony my colon. This guy is a complete tool. Hope he gets convicted and learns peace, love, and harmony in prison.”
On April 13, Block questioned the validity of some information by asking: “Does anyone have a source for this? This is an unbelievable number.”
Block was elected to the New Mexico State Senate in 2025 after defeating incumbent Jerry Ortiz y Pino. He has since been active on social media platforms to share opinions and engage with constituents.
