State Senator Jay Block expresses condolences following loss in Kirk family

State Senator Jay Block, a Republican representing New Mexico’s 12th Senate district since 2025, posted a series of messages on his social media account on September 10 and 11, 2025. The posts addressed the recent loss experienced by Mrs. Kirk and her family.

On September 10, Block wrote, “I am so sorry Mrs Kirk for the loss of your husband and father of your children. I am devastated beyond words and can’t imagine what you are going through. May God comfort you during this difficult and tragic time. May you feel the love and prayers for you from around the world.”

Later that same day, he added another brief message: “RIP. No words…”

On September 11, Block posted a third message: “Thank you, Mr. President.”

Block was elected to the New Mexico State Senate in 2025 to represent District 12, succeeding Jerry Ortiz y Pino.
