State Senator Jay Block, who was elected to represent New Mexico’s 12th Senate district in 2025, has posted a series of tweets on October 6 addressing political and law enforcement issues.

In his first post at 11:34 a.m., Block wrote, “New Mexico must be next.”

Shortly after, at 11:41 a.m., he commented on perceived inconsistencies in law enforcement accountability and political rhetoric: “Donate $25 to a legal defense fund, you must be fired from the police department. Wanting to kill your political opponents kids? Run for the top law enforcement gig in the state. That’s the logic of the left.”

Later that day, at 2:40 p.m., Block posted another message expressing support for an unnamed individual: “I’m very proud of you my friend!”

Block, a Republican who succeeded Jerry Ortiz y Pino as state senator, began serving New Mexico’s 12th district following his election in 2025.
