Sandoval County Treasurer Jennifer A. Taylor welcomed four local high school students to the Fall 2025 Junior County Treasurers program at a reception on August 6, 2025. The event took place at the County Administrative Offices in Bernalillo.

The students selected for the program are Isaac Baca from Bernalillo High School, Faith Young from V. Sue Cleveland High School, Danielle Moody from Cuba High School, and Michael Putkaradze from the ASK Academy. They were chosen based on essays they submitted as part of their applications in May 2025.

The semester-long initiative provides participants with an overview of operations within the Treasurer’s Office. Students will learn about property tax collection, how collected funds are allocated to county services, and receive customer service training.

Treasurer Taylor said she values the students’ participation: “she appreciates these students’ interest and willingness to explore and learn how government works.”

Commission Vice Chair Jordan Juarez joined Treasurer Taylor at the reception with the incoming Junior Treasurers.
