SANDOVAL COUNTY TREASURER FOOD DRIVE
Sandoval County Treasurer, Jennifer Taylor, (far left), and members of her staff shared food baskets with families who need just a little help for their Thanksgiving dinner. The Treasurer’s Office partnered with the Nacimiento Community Foundation, which operates The Checkerboard Food Pantry in Cuba, N.M., to collect food donations earlier this month. Non-perishable items were dropped off at various locations throughout the County and then shared with residents who stopped by the Checkerboard Food Pantry on November 19. Regarding the food drive, Ms. Taylor shares, “The holiday season can be a difficult time for many families in our community which is why it is so important for all of us to pull together to help. I believe Sandoval County is the best when it comes to generosity for the common good and the warm response to our food drive demonstrates that this is true.”
