Sandoval County Community Services launches Warm Clothing Drive for Seniors

Bernalillo, NM, November 1—Sandoval County’s Prevention and Intervention Programs and Senior Program are partnering to collect warm clothing items and blankets for county seniors in need. The Warm Clothing Drive begins today and items may be dropped off until December 15, 2022, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Collection bin is in the lobby at 711 Camino Del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM 87004.

Regarding the Warm Clothing Drive, Community Services Director Anne Ryan shared, “We look forward to the community’s support of this effort. Seniors are more vulnerable to the cold and many are on fixed incomes. Any assistance that helps to mitigate colder conditions during the winter months is always helpful, and we appreciate the community’s support.”

The Warm Clothing Drive is accepting the following items: lightly used/new in sizes M – XL: coats, jackets, ponchos, and sweatshirts; and scarves; new beanies, mittens/gloves, socks, and blankets.
