Lisbon Avenue will be closed between Tulip Road and Sunset Road for construction from April 8 through April 15, according to a March 24 announcement. Drivers are advised to follow posted signs and detours during this period. The closure is due to a Southern Sandoval County Arroyo Flood Control Authority (SSCAFCA) flood control project.

This temporary road closure is intended to support ongoing efforts in managing local flood risks and infrastructure improvements. City officials urge residents and commuters to plan alternate routes while the work is underway.

The City of Rio Rancho supports community engagement through events, commissions, and transparency efforts such as agendas and minutes, according to the official website. In addition, the city provides municipal services including utilities, public safety, parks, recreation programs, library resources, and other community initiatives according to the official website.

Utility services administered by the City of Rio Rancho include water supply management, billing operations, system maintenance, and customer support according to the official website. The city’s main administrative offices are located at 3200 Civic Center Circle NE in Rio Rancho according to the official website.
