State Senator Jay Block, a Republican representing New Mexico’s 12th Senate district, posted a series of tweets on October 7, 2025, expressing strong opinions on recent political and legal issues.
In a post at 03:05 UTC, Block wrote, “The jackass deserved it. Jail!”
Later that day, at 12:05 UTC, he stated, “Biden was a dictator, and so was his government.”
At 12:33 UTC, Block criticized two unnamed individuals regarding their stance on a continuing resolution. He wrote, “These two refuse to even support a continuing resolution (CR) as they have done before to keep people our public servants paid, our poor fed, Healthcare access for for the poor, seniors, and vets. These two just play games and put people’s livelihoods in danger. They only care”
Block was elected to the New Mexico State Senate in 2025, succeeding Jerry Ortiz y Pino as the representative of the 12th Senate district.
