State Senator Jay Block, a Republican representing New Mexico’s 12th Senate district, posted a series of messages on his social media account expressing strong opinions about an ongoing election and its outcome.
On December 2, 2025, Block wrote, “We need to win this one! We will.” Later that same day, he followed up with another post stating, “He must win! Good man vs nut job. Very dumb opponent.” On December 3, after the election results were announced, Block thanked voters in a celebratory message: “Yes!!!!! Thank you voters!!!!”
Block was elected to the New Mexico State Senate in 2025 and succeeded Jerry Ortiz y Pino as the representative for the state’s 12th Senate district.
