State Senator Jay Block, a Republican representing New Mexico’s 12th Senate district since 2025, has made a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) expressing criticism of the Virginia Democratic Party and its recent actions.
On October 6, 2025, Block wrote: “And the VA Democrat Party is standing by him. Sick.” Later that same day, he added: “Well, it’s official. The Virginia Democrats now supports shooting your political opponets. Never thought I’d see that one.” In another post on October 6, Block commented: “Love this man.”
Block was elected to the New Mexico State Senate in 2025 after replacing former senator Jerry Ortiz y Pino as representative for the state’s 12th Senate district.
