State Senator Jay Block, a Republican representing New Mexico’s 12th Senate district since 2025, has recently shared a series of posts on his social media account commenting on state and federal matters.
On September 30, 2025, Block posted: “Exactly.” On October 2, 2025, he followed with another post stating: “What a joke. Very sad for NM.” Later the same day, Block added: “If only states would work with the feds, lives would not be put in danger.”
Block was elected to the New Mexico State Senate in 2025 to represent the state’s 12th Senate district, succeeding Jerry Ortiz y Pino. He is affiliated with the Republican Party.
