State Senator Jay Block Reflects on National Tragedy and Unity in Recent Posts
State Senator Jay Block, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent New Mexico’s 12th Senate district, marked the anniversary of September 11 with a series of posts expressing remembrance and calls for unity.
On September 11, 2025, Block posted: “Still feels like yesterday. May we never let our guard down, May we never forget.”
Later that day, he shared another brief message: “I believe.”
The following morning, on September 12, Block urged collective resolve with the post: “Let us come together in this difficult moment and move forward as Americans.”
Block assumed office in early 2025 after succeeding Jerry Ortiz y Pino as state senator for New Mexico’s 12th district.
