The City of Rio Rancho will introduce a new utilities payment system on August 25. The updated platform aims to make bill payments more convenient and efficient for residents.
According to the city, the new system will offer expanded online payment options. Customers will be able to pay using major credit and debit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Digital wallets like PayPal, PayPal Credit, Venmo, Apple Pay, and Google Pay will also be accepted. Additionally, ACH payments from checking or savings accounts will be available.
A phone payment option will allow users to make payments at any time by calling a dedicated number. The city is also introducing an AutoPay feature that lets customers set up automatic monthly payments.
To use the new system, customers must create a new account after it goes live on August 25 at 10:00 a.m. The previous payment system will remain active until August 28 at 5 p.m., after which only the new system can be used for bill payments.
The city plans to update its website with more information as the launch date approaches and encourages residents to contact utility customer service for assistance.
